Movie Day

Today in Human Geo we watched a movie called

This movie was in the slumps of India in Mambi. We have to pick out things from the movie that is different from American culture.

1. They trade a lot of things for money. The little children in the movie were trading things in like an autographed picture of a famous actor.

2. The have "religious attacks". Say if a certain village is Muslim, and another religion didn't like that religion then they were attack and burn down house, kill the people etc.

3. The police and the peoples relationship is not very good. They are abusing the people and the hurting them, like torturing.

4. Schools are over crowded, teachers are clipping them over the head with books.

5. The children are cursing and they ditch school, but they don't really get in trouble for it besides their parents

6. The people in Mambi, especially the slumps obviously are very poor, even the poor people in the United States are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better off then most poor families in India.

7. And lastly sometime as simple as the house structures, they are very very small!
