Day 8

Today in Human Geo, we talked about our previous blogs. We had a conversation about the facts from the video we had to watch.

One person said that it was creepy how 1 of 8 people last year met and got married.  I would definitely agree but it doesn't surprise me. It's also kind of, well more than kind of, but dangerous to met someone online, I mean unless you know that it's 100% a real person or they  are telling you the truth that that picture and information is really their because people can steal pictures from other peoples profiles and their information and then when you go to meet that lovely person you talked to online it turns out to be like an ax-murderer. Online dating websites are okay for the most part, I just think maybe people should stick to the old fashion way. In my opinion.

The second fact we had a loooong discussion about was that China will become the first English speaking country in the world. When I first say that I was surprised, but then our teacher told us it was because they have over a billion people living in China that have English as their second-language at a young age. They also learn English because it is the "language of business". We learned that not just people from China, but India and other countries, what to learn our language because it is good for communication in business, they get more jobs, etc.
There are up sides and down sides to this, the down side is, they will most like take our American jobs because they are more motivated to actually do the job and they work for way less money then Americans do. Up sides to this is that we buy things and have business from them. Everything you see or wear, or possess is either "Made in China" or "Made in India". It's also good for our businesses, if a foreign person is willing to work for less pay then a home-breed then businesses save money and that businesses stock or product will be lower for us buyers.

It was a good discussion.
