- agora- in Ancient Greek cities, an opened space that served as a meeting ground for various activities of the citizens, a gathering place or assembly. The agora was the venter of artistic and athletic, spiritual, and political life of the city.
- Arête- In it's basic sense, means excellence of any kind. In it's earliest appearance in Greek, this notion of the fullfillment of purpose of fiction. Moral vulner; the act of living up to ones full potential.
- Polis- It was the typical structure of a community in the Ancient Greek world (centre urban area, body of citizens.)
- Year 508 BC- Klisthenis came to power. Birth of democracy; the first democracy.
- Socrates- He was a Classical Greek philosopher who is created with laying the fundamentals of modern Western philosophy; known for creating Socratic irony and the Socratic Method.
- The death Socrates- He was sentenced to death because he refused to recognise their gods. Also they thought he was introducing different gods (disrespecting the other gods), and "poisoning" the youths minds so they sentenced him to death by Hemlock (a poision.)
- The Socratic Method- the Socratic Method was when he would ask a question and answer, he would get a student to state a thesis and then by asking him questions would prove the thesis led to a contradiction.
- What the Greeks meant when they called you an idiot- It meant a private person/ layman that didn't participate in politics.
